Jamie's students write letters about the books they are reading in class. This was written about a book purchased with last year's homebrew-fundraising money.
"Dear: Ms. O,
I finally finished Tears of A Tiger. I loved that book, it is the best book I ever read. I never read a whole chapter book. I know how Andy be feeling because sometimes I be wanting to commit suicide. I really loved that book. It should be more books like that. Books that I can just get into after reading the first word. I just have so much to say about the book. I really don't want to bore you with all the stuff I have to say about it. If I can recommend the world to read one book it will have to be Tears of a Tiger .They really should come out with a movie. I like the book so much because it was written just like a movie would be written."
This year's homebrew...
Paul's Revered American Brown: A new development in the fundraiser -- featured guest brewer. The creator and brewer of Paul's Revered will be on hand to serve his hearty brew. It's an American style brown ale, which means that along with the typical malty smoothness of a brown ale you also get a healthy dose of fresh hops.
Hop Hearty IPA: We're stepping up the flava this year with a great tasting India Pale Ale. This beer is made with 4 oz of Cascade and Kent Goldings hops, and comes in at about 7% alcohol. This will warm you on the inside if you're feel chilly on the outside. Also, both beers this year will be served from kegs.
