Brew into Books Fundraiser

7:30 pm

The garage behind 1234 Charles Ave, St. Paul,

Jamie and Don’s abode.

(It will be held in the garage unless it is quite cold.  Dress accordingly.)

Do your part to get kids to love reading.  Stop in,

drink homebrewed beer, have a snack, and make a donation.

Suggested donation: $5

No books please. (Jamie will pick out books to suit her

 students’ tastes and reading levels.)

The new books will be added to the little library in her North Minneapolis

classroom for kids to read during their “forced” quiet-reading days twice a week.

The more books, the better chance she can find each kid a book to adore.

You like beer?

Come try a couple of Don's most recent creations.

English Mild:  A light-tasting, low-alcohol, low-carbonation "session" beer from England.  It's designed to be able to drink multiple pints in a "session" without getting too "pissed."  Think of it as a less potent Brown Ale.  It's lighter in taste than most styles Don makes, but come enjoy it for what it is.

Scottish Ale - 70 Shilling:  A medium-bodied, dark, roasted, smooth-drinking ale.  A 70 Shilling ale is not the strongest, but not the weakest Scottish Ale.  It also contains smoked grains, so a hint of smoke is present in the aroma and taste.  And, if all goes well, this will be the first batch Don puts in his kegging system.  So come and try a glass of draft poured Scottish Ale.
